Okay, AlwaysOnPC is good but why would I use it over my PC because my computer stays on all day?(I turn it off at night time but it turns back on at 6:00) But cool app anyway. Does it use Ubuntu Linux or a other Linux OS? Thanks.

I see a lot of people complaining about the $30 price but if this thing is real and allows me to see other video sites besides YouTube I wouldn’t mind paying the stiff price.
But what happens if this thing won’t allow me to watch other video sites? I’ll be down $30 bucks.

The difference with AlwaysOnPC is that the computer is online in the cloud. You connect to your own virtual machine computer in this case running on our servers, rather than a physical machine of your own that you leave on so you can access the desktop remotely.
You can upload files that you want to access online from any Internet connected computer that supporst Java.

I’m pretty sure this is nothing new. I used to have a program called “touchpad pro” on my jailbroken 1.1.3 ipod touch. it let you vnc into your computer just like this. you set up the vnc on your computer, and connected. then you could control your computer with your ipod just like this.

It does not load apps or render pages that quickly on my phone. Maybe the video is a little misleading?

$30? I think I’ll just wait until the end of my work day, regardless of how badly I need to access my PC. The price of this app needs to be dropped a considerable amount. I guarantee you that more people will be willing to give it a shot for $10 or less. That is, once you finally decide to let people purchase your product again………

The processing capability and local memory capacity of the iPhone will not permit the installation and operation of full PC class applications or multitasking operation in native mode, so what you would like to see is simply not possible.
Hybrid integration of Internet based “cloud” services with native app clients that access and operate them is (what we believe to be) the way to best merge the two.

The first release does not support streaming audio but we plan to add this in subsequent versions.
