It’s funny how Facebook has a database for humans. When I worked in the dairies the same thing must be done for cows to make sure we can track their location, and control their movements and feeding (marketing) habits. In the end we slaughter them for profit, this would no be possible without tracking every aspect of their lives from birth and maintaining a Cowbook for them.

The price that we pay for security…America’s greatest fear is security and as such, you have this happening. There is really something to fear about this but in general, I’m not sure there really is much to fear. Maybe I’m too naive.

@Guitarscreech06 WHenever Ithink about facebook I think of 1984. It’s so clever of them to gather info. through games and quizes. They make it fun to give out all your info. Sucks!

but again, the question is… what is the data mining useful for? let’s say, I can understand why the marketing sectors want this info, because they can make product that can sell like hot bread, but what about the military? seeking terrorists? or is it all about greed and power? in your opinion. Because, all these conspiracy theories (even if this is not one of those) should have a purpose, right?

Avoid vaccines, they contain aluminum, mercury, MSG, aspartame/formaldehyde, squalene, mutagens etc that cause diseases like arthritis, lupus, Gulf War Syndrome, sheeple/zombie syndrome, allergies, eczema, cancer, ADD/autism etc. But still the genocidal WHO is pushing the h1n1 shot when allicin C, silver and vitamin D3 products should be promoted.

International law (as in a global superstate) could fuck you over at any time, you MUST take responsibility you do the internet.
Those who develop the useless applications that clouds the site sticks their head in the sand saying “If you don’t have anything to hide, there’s nothing to worry about”.
History books in the year 2169 will tell the people how World War 3 was started due to leader X poked leader Y on Facebook - thus triggering an actual assasination IRL - then they deserved it. LOL

This is exactly what is so scary. I try to explain to people that 1984 isn’t in the future, it’s already here. But I get ridiculed as being paranoid.
If I google the name of a certain friend, and he has a facebook that he uses A LOT - I can find out who he hangs with, what he does, how he dresses, phone number, physical locations, suspect opinions/hobbies etc

Oh, and “does what happens in the facebook…”? Grammar fail.

If the CIA want your information, they’d get it. Not exactly sure what this is suggesting; it only serves to make people paranoid.

A company can record any amount of information. searches are linked to your IP address which is often a unique number linked directly to your router.AOL posted the search strings for over 600,000 of their users over a 3 month period, one user was identified based on their searches. That is a person whose “personal” searches were displayed for the world to see. Facebook only knows what you allow it to know. its not any more dangerous than using the web in general. Google “AOL search data scandal”

Actually, the IP refers to the internet “line” that you’re on. And good hackers or whoever can usually scan your previous activities. There’s a workaround, such as a proxy server. And no, every little piece of data that goes over IP lines is not recorded, its far too much information for any company to record. Facebook though, its basically shitting on your face saying “We got you by the balls with all your info!”

This is so paranoid lol If they want to find you and get to know every little detail about your life, they will, weather you have a Facebook or don’t. Try to find people yourself on Google! I found a friend’s ex girlfriend new address, phone number, I could even find blueprints of her new house lmao If you and I can do that with a couple of clicks, imagine what the CIA can do =]
Ah, just in case… I’m not a stalker, that was done for a noble cause lol

It doesn’t matter what name you use. Your computer has a unique IP number and every search you have ever entered is saved to your IP number. even once you delete your history. So if you have ever typed your real name anywhere on the web it will be saved and related to all of your searches.
