Facebook Privacy

June 2nd, 2010 by admin

lockergnome asked:

facebook.com - twitter.com - chris.pirillo.com - Are you leaving Facebook? With all of the concern over privacy lately, many people are choosing to close their accounts. Others are educating themselves with the changes Facebook has made and making the best choices for their profile pages. Still more people are clueless... they don't realize what is being shared and with whom. They have no idea how to fix this problem once they do learn of it. They just keep going along with their heads in the sand, and hope for the best. This isn't the way things should be, folks. You shouldn't have to be so afraid of what the wrong person might see. The fact is, if you put something online then someone will see it. I have come up with the perfect two-step plan to help solve this problem. http

You kind of annoyed me here Chris, gotta say. Implying that people that give you negative feed back have no lives. Very condescending and rude. I’ll return it by saying that its far too expected for you to bend over for any and all corporate entities. You are correct overall of coarse

I do have some questions I get asked again and again (and again). What do I do? I answer the question. Because I’m not a douchebag. You didn’t use to be, either, but your recent videos have been suggesting otherwise.

I think the moral of the story is you have to assume nothing you ever share anywhere on the internet is EVER private- and as I am writing it Chris said it - “STOP SHARING $#!T YUO DON’T WANT PEOPLE TO KNOW ABOUT ON THE INTERNET”.

@DecimicCimiced don’t share with those people lol what you don’t want to be known should be the same for reality as it is for the internet (or vicy-vercy )lol choose who you share your secrets with well online as you should in the real world lol ^_^ once you give a secret to another it is now both yours and theres to do with how they see fit ^_^ information is power my friend and the more you have on someone the more damage you can do as well as the more help you can be to them lol

  17. DecimicCimiced Says:

What do I do if other people talk about stuff about me that I didn’t even post online (but they did)?

“STOP SHARING ? ONLINE!” - but other people might do that–about me.

I don’t even use facebook or alternatives. While I can name 100 awesome reasons for both facebook and twitter type services, most people just use them for silliness and jobs use it to be biased against you.

  22. Tecnicle Says:

To be honest I really don’t have a problem with Facebook, and I completely agree if you don’t want something to be seen by the world then don’t post it. I’m always very careful with what I post online.

  23. dottiemay71 Says:

I haven’t quit Facebook…I realize that FB is on the internet and that essentially it could be seen. plain and simple.
