How come Myspace and Facebook apps don’t work on the iPod touch and only on the iPhone?

I have an iPod touch and I use the Facebook application all the time. You may want to try to apply the application again to your iPod touch. All other touch users should be able to install these applications successfully. Make sure that you have the 2.1 update for iPod touch, because without that there is no way to use any applications. If you do have this update contact Apple support and keep trying to sync the application to your iPod touch.
